Ely NV to Green River UT… sublime in Nevada, quotidian in Utah…
We finish up The Loneliest Highway in America. These Nevada basins and mountains are Sublime and Beautiful.
We cross into Utah, and everything changes… I’m starting to conclude that Utah will always be the Quotidian.
Utah and the USG cheap out and some half-assed highway engineer decided to merge US-50 (the best road ever) onto I-70 (blah). I get that there is only one pass through the mountains and canyons, but I miss the real US-50… nice scenery, though…
